Ok so… I am always willing to give something new a try.  First off, I loved windows XP [although Ubuntu kicks its ass... lol].  If you keep it clean, maintained, and don’t fall for lame virus websites etc… [which is hard to do for the same people who hate mechanics yet have no idea how their car works] it works great.  So reading someones post on Windows 7 Forums about how IE9 sucks kind of pissed me off.  The responding comments were that XP shouldn’t be supported, and if it were, we would still be using Windows 98… etc.  Well that is not true.  New versions come out all the time [or so it seems] and should still be able to run the same programs.  All they would have to do is state that it can run but is not supported, if they are worried about that sort of thing [and if they were any good at what they do they would not have to worry].  Instead, they make it so that you cannot install/use certain programs where it is clear that they want you to buy the newer version of windows.  Yeah yeah they have to make money.  Like they really have a problem doing that lol.  The real issue is that…

a] I bought Win 7

b] I think it is awesome

c] I still also use Win XP

d] When I installed IE9, it friggin broke my Standard PCI to USB blah blah blah and I had to uninstall it and reboot to even be able to post this [using a USB wireless]

e] Why would they be so worried about supporting XP when simply installing the thing “broke” my computer

f] I feel like when I want something new, I will choose to buy it, not be forced thanks

g] Everyone has an opinion, like something else that everyone has, not always pretty…

h] I would like to be able to update my OS that I paid for without it breaking [if it is so great anyway]

i] This is why Linux rules, and should be what people use for their computers…

So why do I say the last comment?

a] There are too many people ON the internet and computers that have no idea how they work

b] There would be way less of the “crap” that is on the internet, such as lame opinions, pop-up ads, spyware, chain emails that are soooo simple… etc.

c] Fewer people like myself will be suckered into believing that perhaps there is a chance that Microsoft has actually gotten themselves together and not tried to break my computer

Sorry about this rant, I get fed up with things like this!  Also, if you read my previous post, I do claim that if I don’t like it, I should fix it myself.  So I am sort of stuck.  I don’t think that I could program an entire browser.  Actually, I know that I COULD, it would just take me a long time to learn how and I have other things to do.  So I will stop complaining and turn on my Firefox and be happy!!!

I am so glad I discovered the world of alternatives!

Funny how many links to this blog are coming from people searching these titles.  Actually, they are people searching for Chernobyl and Three Mile Island[!?!].  That is happening because I posted a blog earlier that has these words as keywords.  I wonder if people are searching these names because they don’t know what they are or if they are looking for a comparison…

I heard on the radio the other day that “Japan apologized for not making the Fukushima incident a disaster sooner,” (not an exact quote but…) and I thought to myself, “I think they did a pretty good job of that already!”  They were actually talking about the status that they had assigned to the incident itself.  Seeing how that is [to me] the least important part of the whole thing, that was my reaction.  I mean, did they build the thing directly over a fault line?  There should be a level of responsibility that goes along with building power plants of any kind.

And [yeah I started a sentence with and] I am surely not blaming the Japanese people or their country in any way [necessarily], just the engineers.  They simply get paid to do their work and it is supposed to be up to the bureaucrats to stop the horrible from happening.  But how are they supposed to do so when they probably know so little about the subject.  The people who can stop the worst from happening are… the engineers.  They are always under pressure to save money, time, and face!   [I know this from personal experience]  This is a very horrible and tricky and stressful existence.  Bureaucrats, construction workers, and everyday people complain about the costs of things being built and the people designing them, and because of this incessant whining,  accidents like the Fukushima plant happen [more than you would think/know btw].

So if anyone is to blame… well

Go live in a hut that you make yourself, or own up and pay someone to make you a better place to live.  And don’t go and complain about it unless you paid yourself to do it!  [This place I speak of is the world around you,   and all of the things in it!  Next time you think to your self, “why don’t they make it like this…, ” you should be thinking “I should make it like this!”  That way everyone is thinking and not expecting someone else to do it.

I complain about a lot of things though so,  take that with a grain of salt, or sugar, or basil, or steak sauce, or… lol

Just my $0.02…
