So I feel like we are still losing the war on terror!

The point of the war was supposed to be stopping the offenders from doing their thing in Afghanistan and destroying their organization.  Well it appears that they are still an issue for many people.

Here is an article where this is proven.  We have gotten to the point where excessive bathroom use is enough to scramble F-16 fighter planes in a response to paranoia.  Seems like another score for the other team… and we are falling behind.

With the economy in shambles, and thousands of soldiers dying in the war [I think the number is about two times larger than the people who died on 9/11... currently], you would think that something should change.  Is that not what people voted for anyway, change?

We need a different approach, and I am not sure what that is.  What I do know is that doing the same thing and expecting different results is somewhat related to insanity.

…and Obama announced the killing of Osama as if it were some kind of victory!?!

The real victory would be not having to worry about terrorism at all [i.e. not having to worry that you gave someone on a plane the wrong look], or even better, not doing whatever it is that we truly did to create the terrorists in the first place.  I would bet that the USA has to have done something to someone [probably many people] to cause such a retaliation.

It IS possible that others just hate us… after all we never seem to mind our own business; but I feel like the response would be a little extreme.

By no means am I saying that we deserved what we got, because that is just silly.  9/11 was a tragedy and I think we better wise up and learn something from that day.  SERIOUSLY!!!  I don’t want to have myself or my loved ones being hurt by people, so if I can do something to stop that, I don’t think going about it in a roundabout kind of way is how I will expect results.

I hope everyone is still healing, and I hope the children of 9/11 will make wiser choices about our country than their predecessors.

Hope all is well…

Many people are talking about this thing recently. It seems funny to me how this is the main topic of discussion for a lot of cyberspace these days. If you type in “has my” in google search for example, the first suggested auto complete is “has my zodiac sign changed.” So it would appear that the masses are searching for this information. Seems to show how a little publication can go a long way. Well some guy (I mean really just some guy) who happens to be a professor and a member of the Minnesota Planetarium Society, Kunkle I believe it is, has calculated that astrology – or at least the zodiac sign / sun alignment / birthday times – is completely incorrect. He apparently said that we are “about one constellation off.” About???

Now, I hope that some people will read this and realize that… Just because HE doesn’t like what he has observed, and even if his calculations are correct, your sign and my sign have not changed. To him and the millions of people that believe things without even questioning them, they have changed, but they haven’t. Is he an astrology professor? No, from what I read he is an astronomy professor. I also do not think that he is a Babylonian or from ancient times? Haha, not likely. I’m not saying this guy doesn’t know his stars, I’m sure he does.

Some people are probably thinking… What gives him the right to change my horoscope sign, my zodiac identity?

Well… just like anything, it is those who propagate it!!!! I have heard people say things like “hey, did you hear that the zodiac signs have changed,” or “when were you born, did you know you are no longer a blah blah blah?” So when you are posed with such questions or information – as you may want to call it – you have to ask yourself, “has my sign really changed?” Then you go on the internet – not that I like it or anything, but it IS the fastest way to get some sort of answer to many modern day news events and stories – and you search for the answer to your question. And you will find about one million stories and opinions etc… supporting or fighting the truth of this story. The truth is, what do YOU believe.

When I heard about this, it reminded me of the PLANET PLUTO [if in fact that is your real name]. Yeah I called it a planet, and I always will. I may be ignorant for feeling this way, but if it looks like a duck and quacks… well you know the rest.

All of this talk is kind of like news of some lohan going out and causing trouble [supporting their actions and giving them perpetual fame for them]. It is like how someone burns them self on coffee and now coffee cups around the country have things like “this beverage may be hot!” on them.

This hyped up version of the world around us is the kind of thing that changes the world in quite an unfortunate way. Somewhat like the definition of ironic. The dictionary had to add a definition to this word for the simple fact that so many people used the term incorrectly that it had become forever changed.

The best thing are the outrageous responses and quotes on the discussion portion of the news article pages. People typing IN ALL CAPS, trying to show their strong feelings against the changes. “No way am I going to be called a stubborn Taurus!” “What about my Scorpio tattoo?!?” Some are happy about the so called changes. There are people that have always felt like they didn’t fit their sign and now they do. “I have always felt like a Leo, and now I am one!” There are also those who will “get to keep their sign.” The reality to me is that…

Simply because this one professor has said this, all of these people appear to fully believe in the change, BUT THERE IS NOT A CHANGE. There isn’t going to be a change, unless the world of official astrology decides to “consider” what this one man has said and then debate over it and then all agree on the change being a good thing. I just hope that this decision has nothing to do with money or fame or recognition, but in actual truth / faith / belief that the change should take place.

I’m not sure if I fully believe in astrology, but if what the books and sites say about it are correct, my sign that I was born with is pretty much right on, and the one that has been proposed for me by this one man is completely wrong. And in my mind, his proposition is a complete fail! I guess time will tell – or at least completely change things – depending on how the earth wobbles.
