So I feel like we are still losing the war on terror!

The point of the war was supposed to be stopping the offenders from doing their thing in Afghanistan and destroying their organization.  Well it appears that they are still an issue for many people.

Here is an article where this is proven.  We have gotten to the point where excessive bathroom use is enough to scramble F-16 fighter planes in a response to paranoia.  Seems like another score for the other team… and we are falling behind.

With the economy in shambles, and thousands of soldiers dying in the war [I think the number is about two times larger than the people who died on 9/11... currently], you would think that something should change.  Is that not what people voted for anyway, change?

We need a different approach, and I am not sure what that is.  What I do know is that doing the same thing and expecting different results is somewhat related to insanity.

…and Obama announced the killing of Osama as if it were some kind of victory!?!

The real victory would be not having to worry about terrorism at all [i.e. not having to worry that you gave someone on a plane the wrong look], or even better, not doing whatever it is that we truly did to create the terrorists in the first place.  I would bet that the USA has to have done something to someone [probably many people] to cause such a retaliation.

It IS possible that others just hate us… after all we never seem to mind our own business; but I feel like the response would be a little extreme.

By no means am I saying that we deserved what we got, because that is just silly.  9/11 was a tragedy and I think we better wise up and learn something from that day.  SERIOUSLY!!!  I don’t want to have myself or my loved ones being hurt by people, so if I can do something to stop that, I don’t think going about it in a roundabout kind of way is how I will expect results.

I hope everyone is still healing, and I hope the children of 9/11 will make wiser choices about our country than their predecessors.

Hope all is well…

So it has been quite a while since I posted anything!  I have been applying and applying to jobs and I am sick of not having a good flippin job.

We took a trip to the ocean [Ocean Shores in Washington], my first visit to the Pacific Ocean!  I will probably post a few pictures from there in the near future, but for now, I just post two picture from a stop that we made.

We stopped in a town called Aberdeen, from where the notorious Kurt Cobain is from.   It was neat to see the town he grew up in since I have always been a fan.  That was one reason we stopped, but the real reason was this…

It was the Star Wars Store!  This is the side of the building that houses the greatest collection of Star Wars memorabilia that I have ever seen.  I didn’t bring my camera in because I wanted to enjoy the experience and didn’t want to upset the store owner.  I never thought that such a small town would have such a cool store!  They had just about every toy you could imagine from the history of Star Wars.  It brought back memories of the ships that my friends had that we played with and destroyed… which are apparently worth a little bit of money now.  They had many video screens that were all playing different Star Wars related shows… The Family Guy Star Wars, Some crazy Star Wars Christmas Special from the 70s, Spaceballs, and The Empire Strikes Back.  It was a good visit, and I am glad that we went.

The town was on the way to the beach, and on our way back, I stopped to take a picture of this sign…

I took this picture simply because Nirvana once put out an album called From the Muddy Banks of Wishkah, and I was near those muddy banks.  The coolest thing was that the sign on the way into town simply said… Welcome to Aberdeen, Come As You Are!

Hope all is well… and I will try to post more often!
