In life, it is not always easy to remain optimistic. Last winter, I thought I could build an igloo. We had more snow (this is from when I was in Virginia) than we had gotten in years. It was up to my knee caps! It was a fun adventure looking up how Eskimos build them [ahhh internet], coming up with my own plan, and then trying to implement it.
I used a small kitty litter pan and a small piece of plywood to pack the snow into little bricks. Then I would stack them one at a time using loose snow on the ground like mortar. Lastly I would take a small saw and shape the brick to get a good fit with the next one. It was great!
I was bummed about halfway through construction when I realized that none of my roommates were going to help me. They are awesome people, they just were not as excited about being in the cold snow as I was. The thing is, I had fun anyway. And I got some neat pictures. I never finished the thing due to the cold and the fact that I got lazy. I feel that it is better to think that instead of not finishing the igloo, I had built half of an igloo!
That thing was there for weeks lol…
