…At least it is for me. I had an account with MySpace for years. It was kinda cool at first. It was very customizable, I got in touch with a few old friends, and it wasn’t all cluttered with slime and mold [see picture below]. Now it is all about music [which I love music], movies, celebs, and TV [to quote their homepage]. If I wanted to know more about Beyoncé or the Green Lantern Movie, I know where to find the info. I don’t care about Beyoncé or the Green Lantern Movie – suxville
Seems to me it should be called THEIRSPACE! It would appear that the famous people have taken over a site that once made simple people feel famous in their own little world. I never needed it for any desire to be famous [duh, that is why I have a WordPress... lol jk]. I just wanted to keep in touch with people.
But just like most things, the advertisers have cluttered it with all the junk you could expect with any free site. On one hand it is good that it is free, or nobody would use it. On the other hand, it has gotten super annoying and spammy. MySpace needs more balance.
For these and other reasons, I have canceled my MySpace account, and I don’t think I will ever start another one.
… now the question remains, should I start a Facebook page [lol]? I mean, most of my friends I do try to keep in touch with have one, so I am hoping that the ones I have lost touch with will have one as well.
I have been reluctant to start one, simply because the buzz about it just didn’t feel like me. But now that I feel the need to get back in touch with people, I may just have to fold and sign up.
Wish me luck on my decision, and any advice or comments on the subject would probably be helpful.
Hope all is well

p.s. The story behind the crock pot is simple and silly… someone I know made stew and then left the thing sitting in their apartment for who knows how long. It had like 1.5″ tall hairy mold coming out the top. You can see it if you look closely… if you dare!
