I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but driving in Washington is getting to me… perhaps that is “their” point. When you go to pass someone who is driving below the speed limit in a passing zone, and they get all salty and speed up as to try to not let you pass, that is just not cool. Did they forget they were driving and get mad because I reminded them? Do they feel that driving below the speed limit is how you are supposed to drive? Because they feel this way do they feel the need to try to enforce their “law” upon me? Do they wish they were a police officer? Do they feel that they own the whole road, neighborhood, town, state?

Driving home today, there was some older man driving a large dodge ram pickup in front of me going about 30 in a 40mph zone. It had some badge on it like it was a Hemi or SRT or some “cool” thing (kind of like an advertisement), and perhaps in an attempt to make up for some sort of shortcoming, he decided to not only to fail to yield, he actually sped up. He must have been half asleep because…
a) he didn’t press the gas hard enough to downshift until I was next to him;
b) we were going slightly up hill and he actually failed miserably to keep me from passing;
c) he must have had at very least 8 cylinders to my 4…
d) a snails business could have passed him by.

After he tried to show his dodge power to me and failed, I got over in front of him. Granted my bumper was probably 7 inches in front of his, but that was not my fault. He sort of asked for it…
The real kicker is that after I passed him, he slowed right back down to snaily speed. Not that I normally wish ill upon people, but I’m hopeful many birds target his truck today.

What is with people who drive big pickups and SUVs all fast like some kind of sports car. I have driven both an extensive amount, and they are nothing alike. I hope he is glad to pay for copious amounts of gasoline just to try to keep people in a hurry from passing him. The truck seriously looked like it had never been used for any sort of work or off-road purpose. Now he is not only trying to kill people on the road, he is selfishly using our natural resources to kill us all a little bit faster, and why…? I guess every man defines his manhood one way or another, this guy likes to use this truck for definition. And he sure succeeded.

Smelly Bill perhaps?

[See picture above… I snapped this one when passing him lol]

And in my brain, smelly bill gets the roof mounted rocket launcher…Nothing like a little road rage to start your day!! *smiley face*

I noticed this billboard and had to take a picture…

Prepare to meet thy God

I mean really… I know that spreading the “Word of God” is a priority for some people/religions, but this seems a wild. Not that it is bad to have faith. I mean without some sort of faith, even if it is not known or apparent, one can be very lost or doubtful. When trekking across the country on the longest road trip I have ever taken, I had some doubts, but I also had faith in the notion that I would make it to my destination. This sign -at least as it appeared to me- seemed to try to defeat my sense of faith. Especially since there was a huge thunder-storm forming over the horizon ahead of me. The storm eventually went away as we stayed in our hotel overnight. Perhaps the storm itself was representing my maker, or a communication of sorts. I really have no idea. Seemed kinda fitting that the storm would pop up right past the sign, and I am glad I didn’t meet my maker that day. At least not in the way i feel the author of the sign’s message was intended to convey. I like my version much better…
